Our principals are:
Kurt Rietsch – Accountant. Kurt is a graduate of Walsh College with a Bachelor’s degree of Accountancy. Kurt began his Tax & Accounting career in 2000, after 10 years in the Tax & Accounting industry Kurt started his own accounting firm in Clinton Township, MI. In 2011 Rietsch Tax & Accounting merged with Souriall & Associates an accounting firm located in Waterford, MI with over 20 years in the industry to create Rietsch, Souriall & Associates. Mr. Rietsch keeps his education and knowledge current by reading articles related to tax from places like the Independent Accountants Association where he is a member and by attending classes/seminars throughout the year. Kurt also has maintained a focus on providing his clients’ bookkeeping, payroll, and QuickBooks services to be a one-stop destination for all of their accounting needs.
Kurt enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and their three children. He enjoys volunteering as a den leader for his sons Cub Scout pack, participating with the 4H fair, watching his daughters dance competitions and enjoying quality time as a family.

Emily Haley joined our team earlier this year and has a background in Human Resources as she was a Senior Recruiter in the staffing industry for over 7 years. During her years as a recruiter Emily was also responsible for client payroll, bank reconciliations and tax preparation. Emily works out of both the Clinton Township and Waterford offices and assists Kurt with tax return data entry, bank reconciliation, and customer service needs.
Emily enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and their black lab Lilly. Together they enjoy spending time with family, camping, gardening and traveling.
